Seven Sacred Directions

We will start at the top and deosil down,
Making our way to the ground,

First, there is the above,
Where the ancestors watch with both judgment and love.
Gifts they send, warnings, and wisdom too,
Yet how these are applied is up to you.

Then there is what is never seen,
The mysteries that fill the In-between.
That which you can only hear
The subtle energy of Aether rules the magick sphere.

Next is what can be heard and felt.
In the East, it has always dwelt.
Sharp it may gust, or soft it may blow.
New beginnings Air will help you sow.

The third possesses sound, feeling, and physical form.
In the South, you will find its dorm.
It mirrors the stars and has visions entwined.
Your passions Fire will help you find.

Fourth comes the one that can be heard, felt, seen and tasted.
In the West, its home is located.
It can nourish or cleanse and is healthiest when it can flow.
Follow Water’s lead, and your emotions you’ll know.

Penultimately there is the one that can be heard, felt, seen, tasted, and smelled.
In the North, its home is held.
It gives us life and takes our dead.
Stay grounded with Earth to keep a level head.

Finally, there is that which is Bellow,
Where the great mother all does know.
Records she keeps, shadows she weaves,
And paths to other worlds she does perceive.
Honor her, and she’ll lead you true.
Stray from her path and your wyrd you’ll rue.

These seven sacred energies help weave the web of life.
Cross them, and you will know nothing but strife.
Take time to ensure these energies you know.
Use them wisely, and they will help you grow.
