The Seasons of a Tree in Four Haikus

Spring
Tender little buds
Long slender silver branches
The birch awakens

Summer
Glistening ripples
Distorting leaf reflections
Trees dance on water

Autumn
Red, orange, and gold
Carefully painted tree tops
Such beauty in death

Winter
Snow burdened branches
Steadfast frozen sentinels
Awaiting rebirth
